The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) has just completed its AGM, and with that, the election of its new office bearers. After being the President of the Association for three years, Srinivasan K Swamy, CEO, RK Swamy BBDO, has been succeeded by Mudra’s MD and CEO Madhukar Kamath. Colvyn Harris has been elected Vice President of the Association, the role that was held by Kamath in the last two years.
The other elected members of the Executive Committee for 2007-08 include Anil Kapoor of FCB-Ulka Advertising Pvt Ltd; Jagdip S Bakshi of Contract Advertising (India) Pvt Ltd; Mahesh Chauhan of Rediffusion DY&R Pvt Ltd; Nagesh Alai of Interface Communications Pvt Ltd; Nirvik Singh of Grey Worldwide (India) Pvt Ltd; Pranav Premnarayen of Prem Associates Advertising & Marketing; Rajeev Ruia of Overture Communications Pvt Ltd; Sam Balsara of Madison Communications Pvt Ltd; Snehal Parikh of TV Ads; Sudhir P Ghate of Magnum Intergrafiks Pvt Ltd; Suman Srivastava of Euro RSCG Advertising Pvt Ltd; Surajit Nag of Advertising & Sales Promotion Company; Tapas Gupta of BEI Confluence Communication Ltd; and Vinod Nair of Network Advertising Pvt Ltd.
The AAAI is the apex body of advertising agencies in the country, which comprises 83 members who account for approximately 80 per cent of all the advertising business in the country.
