A Narasimhan elected President of Hyderabad Ad Club

A Narasimhan, Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, Lanco Group, has been elected as President of the Advertising Club, Hyderabad for 2006-07. Narasimhan has been a member of the Ad Club and has served as Vice-President (thrice), as well as member of the organising committee of ADSCAN ’98.

Commenting on his election, Narasimhan said, “It is a great privilege to take over as President of the Club. Whatever I am today is because of my professional association with the advertising fraternity and I would like to express my gratitude for their support by doing the best possible through the Club during my tenure.”

“I would do my best to revive and revamp the Club to bring it back to its glorious days with the support of senior people like I Venkat, Neelamegham, Gnaneshwar, Jagdish and several others. I feel proud to have professionals like Rani Reddy, Jagdish and Sathya in my team,” he added.

Narasimhan began his career with The Times of India as marketing trainee and served the Group in various capacities for 12 years. In 1993 he was promoted as Branch Head of TOI, Vizag. He moved to Telugu daily Andhra Jyothi as Head of Advertising in the same year. In 1995 he joined Vaartha, another Telugu daily, as General Manager, Advertising. Narasimhan also had brief stint with Jain TV as General Manager, South.

The newly elected office bearers of the Hyderabad Ad Club include, besides Narasimhan, Muthukumar (Vice-president), Rani Reddy (Secretary), K Sathyanarayana (Treasurer). Other elected members include N V Jagdish, Nitin Mulay, Vijay K Beerval, K Arvind and Shalini.
