Topps India appoints Vizeum as media AoR

Topps India Sports & Entertainment, a creator and marketer of sports merchandise like Cricketattack cards, has appointed Vizeum as part of its growth strategy.

Founded in 1938, The Topps Company is the creator and brand marketer of sports cards, entertainment products, and distinctive confectionery, globally. Topps leading sports and entertainment products include Major League Baseball, National Football League, English Premier League, Bundesliga, Indian Premier League, WWE, UFC, Wacky Packages, Garbage Pail Kids and other trading cards, sticker album collections, and collectible games. The company’s top confectionery brands include ‘Ring Pop’, ‘Push Pop’, ‘Baby Bottle Pop’, ‘Bazooka’ bubble gum, ‘Sharkies’ and ‘Juicy Drop Pop’ products.

Topps premiered in India during the last IPL season with its Cricketattack cards.

As part of its aggressive growth strategy, Topps brings in on board Vizeum India to handle its mandate for India. For Vizeum this comes quick on the heels of various other announcements in the last two weeks, including XS Real, Educomp and Sonic (Viacom18).

Confirming the appointment, Sanjeev Katyal, Country Head, Topps India, said, “When we were looking at reviewing our current arrangement, Vizeum was recommended to us by some of our media partners. What we saw, much more than convinced us that we have a right partner in them who would help us with our ambitions. We are quite excited about the future with the number of launches being planned. We look forward to working with Vizeum and wish them the very best.”
