Tata Motors Ltd has assigned the media duties of its Sumo vehicle to Lodestar Universal. Prior to this development, Maxus India had handled the Sumo business. The media buying accounts of the separate brands of Tata Motors have been handled by Lodestar Media and GroupM’s Maxus India.

No official confirmation was available from either the client or the agency at the time of filing the report. However, highly placed sources have confirmed the account movement.

For the record, Lodestar handles Tata Indigo, Tata Indica and Tata Marina, while Maxus now manages Tata Safari.
