Suzlon Energy hunt for creative partner

It is learnt that Pune based Suzlon Energy is reviewing its creative business and has invited two or three agencies to pitch for the business. Apparently, the presentations on the pitch have already been made and that the decision will be taken soon, most probably after Diwali. Dentsu Media continues to handle the media business for the brand.

Recently, Suzlon had reportedly appointed Dentsu Digital to handle its digital media planning and buying functions for the brand. It may be recalled that in 2007 Grey Worldwide was appointed to handle its creative mandate.

There was no official confirmation forthcoming on the recent pitch neither could the current ad spends on the business be ascertained. However, it is believed to be substantial.

Suzlon Energy is one of the fastest growing wind energy companies in the world and is Asia’s strongest growing fully integrated wind power company. In the past, the company has advertised on TV along with print. In 2005, it had spent on advertising in a big way prior to announcing their IPO, where the line of communication was that of being a leader in the wind energy sector.

With the company growing by leaps and bounds and establishing a global presence, probably this time around the communication would tread upon making wind energy relatable to and attainable by the common man.

For the record, Suzlon specialises in providing total solutions in wind power generation with cohesive integration of design, manufacturing, installation, operation and maintenance services.
