Snapdeal.com added to OMD India kitty

Given the growing competition in the digital space, group buying website, Snapdeal.com has upped its media presence, and has recently appointed OMD India, as its media partner.

In 2011, while the group buying website's media duties were parked with Karishma Initiative, along with its older agency – APPPL, its creative duties were being handled by K-Factor. However, in October 2011, Snapdeal.com transferred its creative duties to DraftFCB Ulka.

Industry sources peg the business to be in the vicinity of Rs 25 crore. Snapdeal.com has used media such as print and TV to drive awareness towards the site in its earlier campaigns.
