LT Foods Ltd, the makers of Daawat Basmati Rice, has appointed Pickle Lintas as its creative partner, according to senior sources in the industry. The account size could not be determined at the time of filing this report, but is believed to be sizeable.
Sources also divulged that there was no pitch called for this particular business. The company plans to promote the brand Daawat across all major advertising platforms with print and television being at the top of the priority list.
For the record, the agency had undergone a restructuring in the recent past, wherein the Bangalore and Mumbai operations were made functional from Lowe Lintas, Delhi.
LT Foods Ltd is a processor and exporter of packaged rice foods under the flagship brand ‘Daawat’, which came into being in the 1980s. ‘Orange’ and ‘Heritage’ are the other products offered by the company.
The firm has a distribution network in all major basmati consuming cities in India with more than a hundred distributors in each state. LT Overseas has also made inroads into more than 50 countries across the globe including markets like the US, Canada, the UK, EU, the Middle East and Africa.
