Chennai-based Fifth Estate has been assigned the creative and media duties of Nippo Batteries. No formal pitch process preceded this win. Industry sources have pegged the account size at over Rs 10 crore.
Reacting to the win, Ganesh Baliga, Managing Director, Fifth Estate, said, “We have already been handling their release in the South. Now, they have consolidated both creative and media duties with us for the whole of India. They are also coming up with a whole new range of products and have appointed us for all the responsibilities.”
Nippo, which is well-known for its batteries, also offers a range of other products, including emergency power back-up machines, rechargeable table fans, and a range of torch lights.
Baliga added, “Nippo has an existing product range, and are now introducing new products, while some more products are in the pipeline. With all that put together, it needed a solid base as far as its brand image was concerned.”
