Next Retail signs on A B See Peninsular

Electronics retail chain Next Retail India has entrusted its plans in the e-commerce space to A B See Peninsular. Founded by Amit Baid (Ex-Creative-Team-Lead, Bates Asia and Ex-Creative-Head, Mumbai, Candid), A B See is already present across Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati and is now setting up base in Delhi.

Next Retail, which has presence in the e-commerce space with its flagship portal Next.co.in, is planning to launch another portal soon. On choosing A B See Peninsular, Abhishek Malpani, Head, Next.co.in, said, “The current plans at Next Retail call for some disruptive communications. While a host of agencies pitched, A B See’s approach tuned perfectly with our branding grammar and passion for the electronics-domain.”

Ankit Shrivastava, Marketing - Head, Next.co.in, added here, “We weren’t really looking for an agency outside Delhi, but we found a rare creative-chemistry with A B See.”

A B See has expanded its clients’ roster in the past few months with wins like SBI Life, ICICI (Direct Communications), international fashion retail Bawree and several real estate developers across India.

Amit Baid, Founder, A B See Peninsular, remarked, “By listening to the consumer better, we found the comfort zone to target him across ATL and BTL media. Two years ago, we spoke of ‘add-vertising’ in place of advertising. Today, India’s leading brands are choosing to depend on it.”

Incorporated in 2003, Next Retail specialises in organised retailing of consumer electronics, small home appliances and mobile phones. Next is a multi-brand multi-product retail chain. The company is independently managed by the Board of Directors and currently operates over 550 showrooms across 25 states of India.
