MTS creative pitch race down to JWT India & Saatchi & Saatchi; ac size Rs 200 cr

MTS India, the CDMA mobile telephony service from Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTL), has reached the final leg of its creative pitch process. The battle has now boiled down to JWT India and the incumbent Saatchi & Saatchi. The account size is pegged in vicinity of Rs 200 crore.

MTS officials could not be contacted at the time of filing the report, but sources close to the development informed that there were four agencies competing for the business in the initial stage of the pitch.

As is known, MTS had invited agencies to handle the entire creative mandate of the brand. Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (MTS), a part of Sistema Group, provides mobile communications in Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Belarus, the territory with a total population of more than 230 million. The company has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since July 2000 and trades under the ticker MBT.
