Motivator bags media mandate for Himalaya Herbal Healthcare

Bangalore based Himalaya Herbal Healthcare has awarded its media duties to Motivator. The win comes on the back of a two-month long pitch process in which around five agencies are learnt to have taken part. The account size is estimated to be around Rs 50 crore – Rs 60 crore. Starcom Media Vest was the incumbent agency.

Sources close to exchange4media revealed that the agencies that had taken part in the pitch included Starcom Media Vest, Mediacom, and Initiative Media, besides Motivator.

Buying, planning, team strength, team participation, and buying clout formed the processes and parameters of evaluation or the selection process. There were 2-3 rounds of presentations and discussions with each agency.

On awarding the business to Motivator, Rajesh Krishnamurthy, Business Head, Consumer Products Division, The Himalaya Drug Company said, “We are happy to announce the appointment of Motivator (GroupM) as our media AOR. As part of our regular media review process, we felt GroupM’s expertise in strategy and planning will be a great value-add to our business proposition and expectations. The agency would be responsible for all our media services for television, print, radio, cinema screening, out of home, digital, ESP and activation with effect from November 2013. We look forward to working closely with the agency to align our activities across channels and achieve our business objectives and goals.”

It may be recalled that exchange4media had reported that Motivator was awarded the media mandate for Kalyan Jewellers in the month of March (Kalyan Jewellers assigns media mandate to Motivator).
