Mindshare India has scooped the media mandate for Videocon’s direct to home, Philips and Electrolux businesses. ZenithOptimedia was the incumbent agencies Videocon D2H. However, ZenithOptimedia will continue to handle Videocon’s Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances, Mobile Handsets, PlanetM and Mobile Services. R Gowthaman, Leader, Mindshare - South Asia confirmed the development and stated that they are in the process of setting up a dedicated Videocon Team for the same.
Speaking on the win, Gowthaman informed, “For the past six months, Mindshare has been handling the digital business for Videocon D2H and now, looking at a new perspective, the client decided to appoint Mindshare to handle its media mandate as well.”
In regard to forming the Videocon Team, Gowthaman explained that they are still in the process of forming the team. However the team hiring will include talent from inside and ousted the agency.
As for the creative mandate, McCann’s TAG handles Videocon D2H business while recently; Mudra West has bagged the creative duties for Philips and Electrolux.
