Taking a significant decision in context to its global media mandate, Microsoft has appointed Starcom MediaVest Group to handle its media duties in the US and Canada markets.
As yet, this decision will bear no impact in the remaining 35 markets that Microsoft is present in. Microsoft’s media partner UM (previously known as Universal McCann) would continue handling the business in these markets.
Consequently, the change will have no effect in the India market as well.
Microsoft officials in India have not commented on the development yet and UM officials, too, refrained from commenting, but sources close to the situation informed that UM in India has been notified that the decision will not have any impact on the India market.
