Maxus Bangalore wins media duties of Myntra.com

E-commerce company Myntra.com has roped in Maxus Bangalore to handle its media duties. There was no formal pitch for the business and Maxus bagged it on the basis of its credentials. The advertising and media spends for the next financial year will be around Rs 3-4 crore. The creative duty was recently bagged by Bangalore-based Happy Creative Services.

This is the first time that Myntra has brought in agencies on board to look at its communications. Confirming the development, Sanjay Ramakrishnan, Senior VP, Marketing, Myntra, said, “As a category, e-commerce has been growing and is only poised for greater growth in the coming years. With the competition also rising in this segment, there is a need for us to create and communicate our core values to our consumers, one of them being our service which is a huge differentiator.”

He added, “E-commerce is in a fairly nascent stage in India, especially those related to non-travel purchase, and there is need to evangelise this category and talk to consumers on the benefits of buying online.”

Myntra has been using the online medium for promotion, now plans to also use a host of possible mediums.
