Maharashtra Tourism on the lookout for advertising partner

The Director of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, has invited expression of interest (EOI) from ad agencies for handling its outdoor, print, audio and digital advertisements by offering complete solutions through creatives, media planning, media buying, for ad requirements of the department across various media formats. According to industry sources, the account size is pegged at Rs 300 crore.

As per the qualification criteria specified, the agencies should be empanelled with at least five public or private sector organizations with a minimum annual turnover of Rs. 5 crore over the last three years. The agencies must be accredited to the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) and they should have their registered or branch office at Mumbai with the required infrastructure for handling an account of a State.

Additionally, the agencies should have an experience of at least ten years of working in advertising field, preferably in tourism sector and have minimum staff strength of 15 with suitable experience. The agencies should have an independent creative and media planning team in Mumbai and facilities to plan and execute campaigns in all media such as outdoor, print, television, radio, internet, including exhibition or events, direct marketing, below the line advertising, web designing, printing etc.

The agencies should also have the resources to handle multi-media, multi-lingual publicity campaigns, with proficiency and proof reading facilities in all major Indian languages.

The scope of work includes conceptualization and designing of creative campaigns for brand reinforcement, extension, enhancement and promotion of Maharashtra Tourism. It also includes designing layouts for hoardings and billboards, posters, brochures, leaflets, newsletters, stage backdrops etc.

Additionally, the mandate will include developing creatives for release of advertisements in outdoor, print and electronic media. It will also include planning, executing and releasing cost effective multi-media campaigns for Maharashtra Tourism.

The duration of engagement will initially be for a period of one year which can be extended for a further period of one year based on the performance of the agency.

Duly completed application forms should be submitted in a sealed envelope super scribed 'Engagement of Advertising Agency' to the director of Tourism, govt. of Maharashtra, Express towers, 9th floor, Nariman point, Mumbai latest by 3pm on July 30, 2010.
