LIC Nomura MF appoints RK Swamy BBDO as creative partner; Media Direction bags media duties

LIC Nomura Mutual Fund has assigned its creative duties to RK Swamy BBDO while media mandate has been handed to Media Direction. Though the account size couldn’t be ascertained, it is believed to be substantial. The wins come on the back of a multi-agency pitch called two months ago. Sangeetha N, President (West) & Executive Creative Director, RK Swamy BBDO, has confirmed the development.

It is learnt that JWT, Mudra, Draftfcb Ulka, Dentsu and McCann were other agencies that had taken part in the pitch.

It may be recalled that Japan’s Nomura had bought a 35 per cent stake in LIC Mutual Fund in 2009. With this deal, Nomura forayed into the Indian market. LIC Nomura Mutual Fund brings in the benefit of IT and equity fund management infrastructure.
