Lenovo appoints Ogilvy India

Ogilvy India has won the Lenovo India business following a multi-agency pitch that included several leading names in the business. The win was a combined effort between Ogilvy’s Mumbai office and its global hub in Bangalore, which already handles global assignments for Lenovo.

Commenting on the development, Shailendra Katyal, Director – Marketing, Lenovo India, said, “Lenovo aims to be the No. 1 personal technology brand with a strong youth connect. We, therefore, want to work with partners who are best in class and share our hunger for growth. We chose Ogilvy as our brand custodians as we believe that with its strong creative track record they can deliver the breakthrough work needed for supplementing our brand’s growth.”

Reacting to the win, Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman & Creative Director, Ogilvy South Asia, said, “I have been very proud of the work we have done in the past for Lenovo India. Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
