It is learnt that Donear Suitings has appointed Karishma Initiative to handle the media mandate for its entire portfolio. Prior to this appointment, the media duties were being handled in-house by Donear Industries Ltd and there was no agency on board.
No official confirmation was available at the time of filing the report either from the client or the agency, however, industry sources close to the development have confirmed the win. It is also believed that there was no multi-agency pitch involved and that Karishma Initiative has bagged the business on the basis of its credentials.
Further to roping in a media agency, Donear plans to take its brand communicate to the next level. The approximate media spend could not be ascertained, but according to industry grapevine, it is said to be substantial.
It may be recalled that the suiting brand had roped in Vivek Oberoi as brand ambassador in March 2010 and had also released a campaign featuring the actor.
One of the well-known brands in India in its product category, Donear primarily caters to the middle and premium segments with high quality apparel fabrics.
