Following a multi-agency pitch, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has decided to empanel Concept Advertising, RK Swamy BBDO, Inter Publicity and Inter Ads for its corporate account. The agencies have been empanelled for a period of two years, however the duration of the empanelment may be further extended twice for a duration of one year each time at IOCL’s discretion.
Senior industry sources close to the development have confirmed the news to exchange4media.
The corporate account for IOCL was earlier being handled by Dentsu, Percept’s AMO Communication and Inter Publicity. Inter Publicity has been retained by the company.
It may be noted that the empanelled agencies will work only on the corporate account and the creative duties for product portfolio of the PSU remains with Rediffusion Y&R, McCann Erickson, Draftfcb Ulka and Grey Worldwide.
In July 2011, exchange4media had reported the empanelment of five agencies for duties for IOCL’s Northern region, which included Crayons, Goldmine, Adwit, Square Communications and Mode Advertising.
