IMN News (NewsX) signs on MPG as media AoR

After having unveiled a new brand identity, NewsX, soon to be IMN News (Independent Media Network), has appointed MPG as its media agency of record. MPG won the business after a multi-agency pitch, which commenced a few months back. As media AoR, MPG would handle the strategic media planning and buying duties for IMN News.

Speaking on the association, Jehangir S Pocha, Co-Promoter, IMN News, said, “To promote IMN News and our vision for a quality news channel we wanted partners who shared our passion and vision. We're confident MPG's understanding of the media landscape, their innovative strategies and their experience will drive our re-branding process and campaign forward aggressively and effectively.”

Anita Nayyar, CEO, India & South Asia, Havas Media, added, “News space is seeing a lot of action today. The recent re-branding of NewsX to IMN News is an example. We are very excited to be their media partners in their journey of change. Given the similarity in the core values of both the organizations, it is sure to be a win-win relationship all the way.”

Gareth Thomas, AVP - Marketing, IMN News, said, “MPG has showcased excellent strategic planning tools and processes for its corporate clients, and is one of the strongest media buyers in the country. We look forward to a great working relation with the agency as they take on the mandate.”

As is known, the new-look channel will be unveiled within a few months, and would be accompanied with a similarly redesigned website, IPTV service and mobile TV.
