I-T Dept empanels agencies for Rs 50-cr creative & media account

The Income Tax Department has empanelled Span Communications, Lowe Lintas, Ashok Creatives, Perfect 10, Pamm, Mode, Invicta, Garuda, Falcon, Disha, Centum, and Arun Sign to handle its creative duties. The current empanelment is for a period of one year. The media duties will be looked after by DAVP. The account size for both creative and media duties has been pegged at Rs 50 crore.

Commenting on the empanelment, Charles Cadell, CEO, Lowe Lintas, said, “We are extremely happy with the empanelment and hope that we continue to do great work for the Income Tax Department. This opportunity comes on the heels of our empanelment for DAVP and we look forward to more such opportunities with prestigious Government organisations.”

Naresh Khetrapal, CEO, Span Communications, said, “We have been handling the creative duties since 2003. The Income Tax Department has gone up from Rs 1 lakh crore in 2003 to Rs 3.5 lakh crore in 2009.”

The 360 degree campaign will comprise TV, print , OOH, the Internet and BTL activities.
