General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) has empanelled three agencies – Triton Communications, Concept Communication, and Mudra Communications – to handle its creative and media duties. Anoop Khanna, Senior Manager (CMD’s Secretariat & Corporate Communications) has confirmed the development to exchange4media. Though the account size couldn’t be ascertained, it is said to be substantial.
GIC has been in the reinsurance business since its inception in 1972.
This is the first time that the company has empanelled three ad agencies for its creative and media duties. Earlier, the account was being handled in-house.
The pitch was called through a tender. The agencies taking part were asked to make their presentations on how to take GIC the brand image forward.
