Euro RSCG India benefits from global alignment; bags Reckitt Benckiser’s Durex, Scholl brands
Reckitt Benckiser has recently shifted the global creative duties of two of its newest brands – Durex and Scholl – to its lead advertising shop, Havas’ Euro RSCG Worldwide. Following this development, Euro RSCG India has been assigned the creative mandate for Durex and Scholl in India.
Suman Srivastava, CEO, Euro RSCG India, has confirmed the development to exchange4media, but also added that they were unsure of the transition period of the duties that will happen in India.
Reportedly, the move comes close on the heels of Reckitt Benckiser’s nearly $4 billion acquisition of SSL International, which owned Durex, Scholl and other footcare brands outside the US. The transition of Durex and Scholl brands over to Euro RSCG, which has already been serving as Reckitt Benckiser’s sole global creative agency since 2006, will take 3-6 months, according to reports.
Durex and Scholl are the most recent additions to Reckitt Benckiser’s portfolio of global powerbrands, which include Dettol, Lysol, Vanish, Airwick, Finish, Nurofen and Strepsils, among others.
