Dentsu Media bags media mandate for Kurlon

Mattress brand Kurlon has awarded its media duties to Dentsu Media. The account will be handled out of Dentsu Media’s Bangalore office. The account size is estimated to be approximately Rs 15 crore.

“We are not sure if the client called for a multi-agency pitch, but we underwent multiple rounds of discussions around mid-July,” said an official spokesperson from Dentsu.

Commenting on the appointment, Sudhakar Pai, Managing Director, Kurlon said, “Kurlon is at a very important stage right now and we need a media partner who can reconcile our objectives with what the media industry has to offer. We believe Dentsu Media fits the bill perfectly for this.”

Kurlon has tasked the agency with developing a media strategy that will enable it to reach out to its priority markets effectively and help it reaffirm its position as market leader. Denstu has started preparing a strategy for Onam festival in Kerala.

On the win, Divya Gupta, CEO, Dentsu Media said, “Kurlon is an exciting win for our team. Kurlon as an organisation has the kind of organisational philosophy that fits in quite perfectly with the Dentsu way. We are confident that this is the beginning of a long and sustained relationship of mutual trust and respect.”

A senior Dentsu official added here, “We are excited to be associated with Kurlon. The most important factor is the way we think and that has made us win this business. We have started our work for them and hope this relationship sustains for a long time.”
