The Organising Committee (OC) of the Delhi Commonwealth Games 2010 has invited a proposal for the empanelment of media planning and buying agencies to provide strategic services. The tender closes on July 12. Sources close to the development have pegged the account size for the media business at Rs 25 crore.
It is learnt that well known media agencies are taking part in the pitch, however, their names couldn’t be ascertained. The Commonwealth Games kick off in New Delhi on October 3, 2010.
The creative business is being handled by JWT, Mercantile and Quantum.
JWT’s theme, ‘Come out and play’, which was used during the pitch process, was well received by the Committee and will be used throughout the campaign.
The Commonwealth Games campaign is a 360 degree initiative involving print, TVC, OOH, outdoor and BTL activities.
