Close on the heels of bagging EC Media’s e-reader ‘Wink’, Bangalore-based full service agency White Canvas has added two more businesses to its kitty. The agency has bagged US the creative duties of Polo Association and Energie brands under the Arvind Lifestyle brand umbrella.
Speaking to exchange4media, Deepak Nair, Managing Partner, White Canvas, confirmed the development. He said, “The addition of these two new accounts will add a new dimension to the diverse set of clients we work with. It gives us an opportunity to partner with two global brands and we are extremely excited with the creative possibilities that these two brands offer.”
The win comes in the wake of a multi-agency pitch. However, the names of the other agencies participating in the pitch couldn’t be ascertained, neither was the ad spend known at the time of filing this report.
The brand US Polo Association recently entered the Indian marketplace, and according to Nair, it had been very well received by consumers. He explained that the communication plan in the initial phase would primarily revolve around building the brand and involve print and retail centric communication.
It may be recalled that in 2007, US Polo Association had signed a licensing deal with Arvind Mills Ltd to design and distribute US Polo branded sportswear in India and open its stores in the country.
Energie is an Europen fashion denim brand, which will enter the Indian market later this year. The communication will mirror the attitude of the brand.
White Canvas, now present in both Bangalore and Mumbai, has grown to accommodate a team of 22. The agency’s client portfolio includes Sheaffer, William Penn, Atmosphere, Geodesic, SouthIndies, and Wink (e-reader), to name a few.
