Apollo Hospitals assigns media mandate to Mudra Connext

Close on the heels of bagging media mandate of Gulf Oil and Travelguru, Mudra Connext has added yet another business to its kitty. The agency has bagged the media mandate for Apollo Hospitals. It will be handled out of their Delhi office.

Though the officials remained tight lipped on the media spend of the business, however the industry sources peg it in the region of Rs 8-10 crore. Bates 141 continues to handle the creative mandate for Apollo Hospitals.

Confirming the appointment of Mudra Connext, Anil K Maini, President Corporate Development, Apollo Hospitals, said, “We have engaged Mudra Connext to do our new communication campaign. Through their extensive knowledge and experience in the media market, we look forward to a great

working relation with the agency.”

Talking of their win, Manas Mishra, EVP & Country Head, Mudra Connext commented, “We are delighted to partner with a respectable group like Apollo Hospitals. Healthcare communication in urban centers has been an emerging challenge. We hope our experience in building awareness and empathy. A positive word of mouth will help us manage the brand well.”

Apollo Hospitals was started by its founder and present Chairman, Dr Prathap C Reddy in 1983 with the establishment of the first corporate hospital in India. The group had become an integrated healthcare organisation by the start of the new Millennium with owned and managed hospitals, diagnostic clinics, dispensing pharmacies and consultancy services.

To enhance performance and service to customers, the group also makes available the services to support business; telemedicine services, education and training programmes, and research services, and a host of not-for-profit projects. The group also has partnerships with hospitals in Kuwait, Sri Lanka and Nigeria.
