AMO Communications wins Mobell Mobile’s handset business

Following a multi-agency pitch, AMO Communications (a Percept Hakuhodo company) has been assigned the creative duties of Mobell Mobile’s handset business (a brand partnered with Salora International Ltd in India). The multi-agency pitch process began two months ago and many leading agencies had vied for the business. The account will be handled out of AMO’s Delhi office.

On awarding the business to AMO, Atul Jasra, Head - Marketing, Salora International Ltd, said, “We were looking for a partner who could drive our growth at an accelerated rate and we found that in AMO. With this association, we hope to build a personal connect with our consumers, who make Mobell a part of their everyday lives. We are excited and are looking forward to our association with AMO.”

Elvis Dias, Managing Director, AMO, added here, “The client at this point of time was looking at a consumer-relevant change in the brand positioning in order to achieve penetration in key markets. Our strategic thinking and creative execution matched the client’s requirement, which helped us clinch the business.”

The agency has already identified a creative team that has the required expertise in the telecom, mobility and consumer durable space, coupled with a strong understanding of the category. Dias said, “The first thing we plan to do now is to dig our heels deeper into this complex and dynamic market in order to arrive at a long term inter-communication plan.”

AMO Communications also handles Next, Elbit, Indian Oil Corporation, Punjab Tourism, Goa Tourism, Rajasthan Tourism, Shakti Bhog Foods, BILT, and CSRI, to name a few.
