After BIG CBS, McCann Erickson bags Srei Infrastructure; ac size upwards of Rs 15 cr

Close on the heels of winning the BIG CBS account, McCann Erickson has now added one more big win to its kitty. The agency has bagged the creative duties of Srei Infrastructure, a holistic infrastructure institution, after beating two other well-known agencies in fray. According to industry sources, the account size is pegged at upwards of Rs 15 crore.

The pitch was carried out of Delhi, though the client is Kolkata-based, in August 2010. Lowe Delhi, Ogilvy Delhi and McCann Erickson were the only three agencies in the fray for the business. Lowe Kolkata was the incumbent agency for the infrastructure brand.

Srei’s business includes infrastructure equipment leasing and finance, infrastructure project finance, advisory and development, insurance broking, venture capital, capital market and Sahaj e-Village. Srei has a pan-India presence with a network of 71 offices and has also replicated its business model overseas with three offices in Russia. It is the first Indian infrastructure financing institution to get listed on the London Stock Exchange.
