Sudhir Chaudhary bids adieu to Live India

Sudhir Chaudhary, Editor and CEO of Live India and Mi Marathi has quit from the organisation. Speaking to exchange4media, Chaudhary confirmed his resignation and said that he is glad that Live India is doing well today. “It’s a pleasure that Live India is generating a well identified market share. Similarly, Mi Marathi has also created a niche for itself as one of the most admired and popular GECs in Maharashtra.”

Chaudhary said that he will disclose his plans going forward soon.

Chaudhary had joined Janmat TV (later renamed as Live India) in March 2007. He started his career with Zee News in 1993. He has been in the TV news industry for more than 19 years and is a ‘seen it all’ journalist. As a TV professional, he belongs to the first generation of television journalists and has been associated with the Indian television news industry since its inception.

After spending almost a decade with Zee News as a senior editorial person and prime time anchor, Chaudhary moved on to Sahara Samay National as part of the core team that launched the channel, and senior anchor where he played a major role in creating human resource and content to establish the channel. Following this, he joined India TV as an Executive Editor where he hosted the prime time shows apart from carrying out key editorial responsibilities.

From the political battlefields of different Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections to the heights of Kargil or the terrorist attack on Parliament, Chaudhary has covered many big stories. He has also travelled extensively across the globe covering big moments of Indian diplomacy – whether the UN summit or the much hyped AB Vajpayee – Pervez Musharraf Indo-Pakistan meeting in Islamabad or India's hard selling with American and Russian Presidents.
