Flashed Yesterday: Bobby Ghosh quits as Editor-In-Chief of Hindustan Times

Bobby Ghosh, Editor-In-Chief of the Hindustan Times has quit the organisation as he will be returning to New York for personal reasons, according to sources.

In a short span of 14 months with HT Digital Streams Ltd. Ghosh has engineered a dramatic transformation of various news products which was reflected in their traffic.

He has previously been the publication’s Baghdad bureau chief, and one of the longest-serving correspondents in Iraq. He has written stories from conflict areas such as Palestine and Kashmir. He has also worked for ‘Time Asia’ and ‘Time Europe’ and has covered subjects as varied as technology and football (like his very famous article about Lionel Messi), business and social trends. He started his career as journalist with Deccan Chronicle, a popular English daily, at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. His Baghdad journalism stint has included profiles of suicide bombers and other terrorists, stories about extraordinary Iraqis and also other political figures.
