Business Today’s R Sridharan joining ET TV

R Sridharan, who recently quit Business Today as Managing Editor, is joining Economic Times TV (ET TV) as Senior Editor. He was with Business Today for close to 12 years. He was simultaneously the Editor of Harvard Business Review South Asia edition. The facsimile HBR South Asia edition is brought out by the India Today Group.

A Times Global Broadcast spokesperson, who did not want to be named, while confirming the appointment of Sridharan, said that the top post of Editor of ET TV was yet to be decided upon. However, a few other senior level appointments would be announced in a week’s time, he said.

Times Global Broadcast, a service of Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd, runs the Times Now English news channel. ET TV will be its second offering.

Commenting on his appointment in ET TV, Sridharan said, “It’s a unique opportunity to leverage the brand and resources of The Economic Times to create a compelling business channel that will offer superior value to our viewers.”

In 1999, Sridharan was with the Washington Post as an Alfred Friendly Fellow, posted in Washington DC for six months. Before that he had worked with The Economic Times as Feature Writer for three years. He had earlier worked with a small shipping magazine for two and a half years.
