Dailies in Rajasthan on a growth path

Most newspapers have seen positive growth in readership in Rajasthan as per the IRS 2010 Q4 data. Nine out of top ten dailies have seen growth in readership in the latest quarter as compared to Q3.

Rajasthan Patrika is the only newspaper that has witnessed decline in readership among the top ten dailies in the state. With an AIR of 70.26 lakh, the newspaper has seen a decline of 1.53 per cent as against Q3. It may be recalled that the newspaper had seen growth in readership in Q3.

Dainik Bhaskar, with growth of 4.51 per cent in readership, has registered an AIR of 63.79 lakh. It may be noted that in Q3, Dainik Bhaskar had seen a marginal dip in readership in the state. Dainik Navjyoti with an AIR of 4.44 lakh, has witnessed a growth of 6.47 per cent.

English daily The Times of India is the fourth most read daily in the state. With AIR of 2.11 lakh, the newspaper has seen a growth of 6.03 per cent as against Q3. Daily News has gone one step up in the ranking in Q4 with a growth of 8 per cent in readership. Daily News has registered an AIR of 1.89 lakh.
