 | Rules & Regulations for the 3rd Annual News Broadcasting Awards
- The Indian News Broadcasting Awards recognise excellence for work in India’s booming news broadcasting sector.
- The Submission of the Entry Form assumes that you have carefully read the INBA 2010 Rules & Regulations and agree to abide by them.
- The entry form for INBA 2010 is available online and must only be entered online. However, you are required to take a printout of the acknowledgement email that you receive and submit it along with the copy of DVDs where applicable and the entry fee.
- Please be careful while filling in the form as incorrect and incomplete forms will work against your entry at the time of judging. Each entry must be certified by the Editor-in-Chief/CEO/Authorised Signatory. If signed by the Authorised Signatory, a letter –original bearing the company seal, not photocopy -- from the CEO/Editor-in-Chief authorising the signatory must be attached. If more than one entry is being signed by an authorised signatory, just one letter of authority will suffice.
- Please note: we are accepting entries only for the following categories:
- To be eligible, work of the entrant should have aired between 0000 HRS April 1, 2009 and 1159 HRS on March 31, 2010.
- All forms must be filled in English.
- The entry may be submitted by the individual himself/herself or by anyone nominating him/her. However, while doing so, please take the permission of the individual. For personality award categories, in the entry form please upload a recent clear photograph of the individual (like a passport photograph). Printed photographs will not be accepted.
- In case of a daily/weekly show, entrants/nominees need to send not more than five samples/editions/installments/episodes for the jury to consider. It is not mandatory to send five samples/etc... if you think just one or two would be enough for the judges to evaluate, you could just send one or two.
- Entries must be sent on 2 DVDs only. No beta tapes please. We need two copies of the same DVD. Each entry must be on a separate DVD.
- Each DVD must be clearly labeled with the Category Name and Name of the Individual, and the Contact Name and Mobile Number of the person to be contact (in block letters) in case of a technical hitch
- The jury will only refer to the online entry form for judging. Please do not add anything extra in the printed submission.
- There is no limit to the number of entries a channel sends us, but an all-inclusive, non-refundable entry fee should be accompanied with the entry form and a cheque (payable at par in New Delhi, note: non-Delhi, non-payable at par cheques will NOT be accepted)/demand draft of Rs 1,000 (Rupees One Thousand Only) drawn in favour of ‘Adsert Web Solutions Private Limited). Entry will be accepted only on realisation of cheque(s).

50 entries: Rs 40,000, Unlimited entries: Rs 60,000
The incentive will be applicable for individual channels only. Broadcast companies with multiple channels need to send entries for individual channels separately
- While a broadcast/ production company can send multiple entries in the same award category, only one entry may be sent per individual. However, if an individual has worked for multiple programmes for different producers/ channels, then entries can be sent for the same individual by different broadcasters/ producers.
- The INBA jury will comprise eminent individuals from all walks of life. The decision of the jury is final and binding. Any form of canvassing for the awards will disqualify an entrant/nominee/broadcaster/producer.
- All entries must be received in our offices in New Delhi or Mumbai between 11am and 5pm only Monday through Friday. Entries sent by courier must be sent only to our New Delhi office.
- Although Monday, August 9 (1700 HRS) is the last date for receiving entries, we recommend that all entries are sent early. On receiving an entry, we will examine the entry, check for its eligibility (complete forms, all justifications in etc) and then copy the contents of the DVD to a dedicated server. If the contents of the DVD submitted are not found in order, a channel/individual will be given 2 days (including Saturday and Sunday) to submit a fresh copy to us in New Delhi or Mumbai. If we do not receive the correct entry in time, the jury will not be able to consider it. The entry fee will not be refunded.
- For Young Professional of the Year 2010 (Business & Journalist), a photocopy of proof of date of birth must be attached to the printout of the entry form. The proof can be in the form of driving license, passport, Election ID card, PAN card or Class 10 passing certificate clearly displaying the date of birth.
