Meanwhile, the judging schedules for Media and Creative Abbys 2010 have been also announced.

The last date for receiving entries for Media Abby is March 8, 2010. Round I of judging for Media Abby will take place on March 15, 2010, while the final round of judging will take place on March 18, 2010.

The last date for receiving entries for Creative Abby is March 10, 2010. Judging for the Print, Film, and Integrated Advertising categories will take place on March 23, 2010. Judging for Outdoor, Ambient, Radio, Craft categories will take place on March 24, with spillover expected on March 25. Judging for Direct, Design categories will take place on March 26, while judging for Interactive Digital Advertising category will take place on March 29.

It may be recalled that ‘frugal’ was a word heard quite often at GoaFest 2009. In fact, Ogilvy & Mather had announced that it would not take part in GoaFest 2009 stating that the company was looking at all its costs and cutting down on “frills”. Of course, the company later reversed this decision and did take part and shone at the Creative Abbys, bagging 50 metals. Another agency that had announced it was not taking part, but later participated at the GoaFest was McCann Erickson.
