Election Tracker: Modi remains most popular politician; AAP's Kumar Vishwas gains grounds

BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi continues to be the most popular politician as the Lok Sabha elections reach the final phase.

Given the intense interest in the Amethi elections in the eighth phase of the polls, Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate for the Amethi constituency, Kumar Vishwas, jumped to No. 5 in rankings among the Top 10 Politicians. He was placed at No. 10 in the previous week.

Priyanka Vadra, who trumped brother Rahul Gandhi in the previous week to be placed third and who’s verbal volleys kept her in the media limelight, slipped a notch to No 4. this week, even as Rahul Gandhi climbed up to No. 3.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh failed to make it to the top 10 list. He was the only politician to drop out of the top 10 list, falling nine places.

On the other hand, Omar Abdullah was the new entrant to the list.
