Cannes International Advertising Festival will be held from 15 to 21 June 2003 at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.

It's golden Jubilee year for Cannes International Advertising Festival - Cannes Lions. Known as the Oscars of advertising, it is the most prestigious advertising award in the world. The award show comprises of lots more than just awards ceremony in form of workshops, seminars, exhibitions and screenings.

Cannes International Advertising Festival is the largest gathering of who's who global advertising.

During the Festival week, best of world advertising is showcased. Creative connoisseurs admire the creative extravaganza, while many others are there purely to network.

The award show is divided in five disciplines. Around 5000 commercials, 3500 outdoor ads, 6000 print ads, 1500 websites and online ads, 700 media solutions and 2000 direct marketing entries are on display. The entries are judged by five separate teams of judges from around the world, - the jury comprises of names that have already made a mark .

While the most outstanding creative work walks away with Grand Prix, other winning ads are awarded the highly coveted bronze, silver and gold Lions.
