Latest Philips mobile comes with touch-screen and zoom camera

Philips India, a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics, continues making inroads into the mobile handset market with the launch of its new Philips 755 “Tag-It”, a handset targeted at those who want a complete mobile experience. The new Philips 755 “Tag-It” comes with a 65K colour touch-screen, a Tag-It pen, a digital camera with zoom function and lots more.

The touch-screen and the unique Tag-It pen make the conventional keypad system antiquated allowing users fast and easy calling as well as messaging facilities. The Tag-It function can be used for sending voice or music accompaniment by ‘tagging’ it to the mail. Users can also send virtual postcards, illustrate, doodle on pictures they shoot and send images instantly.

The 4x-zoom built-in digital camera with a night function allows users to capture still photos even in low-light conditions. The quick MMS feature helps users send messages twice faster. And, the triband enables Philips 755 to be carried anywhere.

The Philips 755 has a 7MB storage capacity, storing up to 1,000 images. There is also an option to create a picture slide show and displaying it either on the phone screen or TV screen plugging the TV link accessory. The mobile phone comes also with the BeDJ offering – arguably the most powerful and versatile music mix engine on any mobile phone today.

On launching Philips 755, Arshit Pathak, General Manager, Wireless, Consumer Electronics, Philips India, said, “The Philips 755 is a study in superlatives. Philips 755 model is priced at Rs 10,990 and comes in a choice of three metallic finishes: silver alloy, bright aluminium and red metal.
