CheiI India launches tech campaign for girl child education

Cheil India has partnered with Teach For India (TFI) to equip and invest in government and MCD Schools to provide the girl child with a better learning atmosphere. As a part of the Programme, sponsored members by Cheil, called ‘Fellows’ are posted at various schools who aid in making the learning process more interactive rather than the standard rote learning. Tabs that are installed in the schools are powered with Educomp’s digital content and smart assessment system which gives immediate feedback on the learning curve of students.

Speaking about this initiative, John Koo, President & Head of Regional HQ-South West Asia, Cheil India said, “Our goal is to empower our tomorrow, we want to fully support and help a worthy cause to receive awareness and the recognition it deserves. Girl child empowerment is our focus and we look forward to expand our programme beyond boundaries to bring about a significant change.”

Companies need to think strategically in terms of the CSR initiatives. The initiative needs to be impactful and measurable. With the girl child education being our focus, we thought of boosting the efficacy of education with the use of technology. We want to give something to the society that would not get redundant but rather resonate with sustenance” he added.
