NDTV Good Times back with 3rd edition of Food Awards

NDTV Good Times brings the third edition of NDTV Good Times Food Awards for its viewers this December. The Awards honour the best in the food industry. Within two years of its conception, the Awards have become a definitive guide in the business.

 

To add to the celebrations this year, the channel is raising a toast to the single most important ingredient that could make or break the fortunes of a restaurant – the perfect recipe. To celebrate the ‘perfect recipe’, NDTV Good Times organised ‘Meet The Chef’ sessions across Delhi and Bangalore with Master Chef Ritu Dalmia and Aditya Bal in November, which was attended by over 450 foodizens.

In its third year, jury members for the Awards include Vinod Dua, Ritu Dalmia, Seema Chandra, Marut Sikka, Aditya Bal, Rocky & Mayur, and Vicky Ratnani.

 

Announcing the third edition of the NDTV Good Times Food Awards, Shibani Sharma Khanna, Channel Head, NDTV Good Times and Creative Head - NDTV Lifestyle, said, “We have received an overwhelming response for our Food Awards in the past and are excited about this edition. Last year, we introduced the Viewer’s Choice Awards category, and this edition we are bringing in a new element by celebrating the perfect recipe with Meet The Chef sessions. This year we look forward to taking the Awards to the next level.”

The awards consist of two categories – Jury categories and the Viewer’s Choice Award.

 

The Jury categories include:
Best North Indian Restaurant
Best Coastal Restaurant
Best Regional Restaurant
Best Asian Restaurant
Best Dessert & Coffee Menu
Best Bar
Best European Restaurant
Sensational Debut
All time favourite Restaurant
Best Dhaba
Kaff Special Jury Award (Best Healthy menu)

The Viewer’s Choice Award is a single award category where the viewers will decide the best foodie city of the country through public participation on social media platform. Fifteen cities – Delhi/  NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jodhpur, Ammedabad, Chandigarh, Thiruvananthapuram, Lucknow, Goa, Indore and Mysore – have been shortlisted for this category.

 

Along with this, one lucky person who voted for the winning city stands a chance to attend the gala awards’ night in Gurgaon.

The jury got together in mid-November to shortlist the top five restaurants across categories basis research from Ernst & Young, final scoring will be shared one more time closer to the awards for a final seal of approval from the jury and winners will be announced on the night of the Awards.
