PIX, the Hollywood movie channel from Multi Screen Media, has appointed Saurabh Yagnik as its new Business Head.
Yagnik brings with him a cumulative experience of over 17 years in varied fields. In his previous stint, he was Business Head, English Channels, STAR India. He also had long stints with brands such as Hindustan Unilever and The ITC Group.
Commenting on Yagnik’s appointment, NP Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Multi Screen Media, said, “The industry is at an important cusp and the English movie genre is seeing a lot of transformation. We have great confidence in Saurabh’s abilities and are privileged to have recruited someone of his caliber into the business. He comes in with tremendous knowledge and the channel is going to benefit multi-fold with him as Business Head.”
Yagnik began his career as Assistant Manager at ITC in 1995. In 2000, he moved on to Hindustan Unilever as Category Finance Manager. In 2007, he joined STAR India as Vice-President, Financial Planning & Treasury for the STAR TV group in India. He was appointed as SVP and Business Head, English channels cluster at STAR India in 2010, and held the position for two years.
