Jaipur Shopping Festival building 360 degree brand connect

Jaipur Shopping Festival, an initiative of Rajasthan Patrika and organised by International Fairs & Festivals got off to a start amid much fanfare on October 16, 2012. The month-long festival in Jaipur was inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

 

The festival represents the collective strength of all business associations, corporates and people of Jaipur and brings all important bazaars of the city under one umbrella to create a month-long carnival in terms of shopping extravaganza, culture, crafts, cuisines, tourism, hospitality and festivity.

Commenting on the mega initiative, Siddharth Kothari, Director, Rajasthan Patrika, said, “The essence of Jaipur Shopping Festival is to create a platform of such a magnitude and scale that it is able to take under its umbrella the various socio-cultural elements of the city and synergise them to work as economic drivers to make a larger impact.”

 

The media plan of the event includes touch points with more than 20 full pages in Jaipur alone in Rajasthan Patrika. This apart, a separate budget has been allocated for rest of Rajasthan in various media. Also, by virtue of strategic tie-ups, Delhi, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are being covered. The media plan also includes television, radio and OOH.

The festival is proving a big draw not just for shoppers from surrounding states but foreign tourists as well. Activities such as Food Bazaars, Raffle Schemes, Elephant Polo matches, Sufi/ Qawwali/ Mushaira Nights, Folk Performances, Rock Concerts at various malls, Royal Dussehra Procession at Jaipur’s City Palace and Fashion Shows have been chalked out to bring out the different facets of Rajasthan and engage visitors.
