Dainik Bhaskar Group has launched its broadsheet magazine City Bhaskar in two more cities – Surat and Vadodara. Till now the magazine was present only in Ahmedabad.
City Bhaskar is targeted at the youth segment and addresses the need of positive content presenting the ‘Good Life of the City’ with special focus on city happenings and leisure reading.
Speaking on City Bhaskar’s launch in Surat and Vadodara, Saras Sethi, State Head Gujarat, Dainik Bhaskar Group said, “Surat and Vadodara, with their own unique population mix, professional outlook and inclination, were considered ripe for a product like City Bhaskar.”
He further said, “As the name suggests, the publication focuses on the city and hence is unique to the city. It takes into account the city highlights, cultural and social milieu, the youth segment needs and is crafted specially for the city. It addresses and the content mix reflects the city dynamics including entertainment news and events. City Bhaskar is a four-page all colour broadsheet magazine circulated with the main issue every day, captures the local essence of each city and connects strongly with readers, helping the brand connect with the readers.”
Divya Bhaskar is the Gujarati newspaper of Dainik Bhaskar Group with 11.44 lakh readers (IRS Q1 2012).
