Tamilnad Mercantile Bank appoints Mindshare

Mindshare (Chennai) has been appointed by Tamilnad Mercantile Bank as its media AoR.

Mindshare will conceptualise, design and manage Tamilnad Mercantile Bank’s presence through print, radio, TV, outdoor and online medium from second week of July.

Confirming this development, Gunashekaran, Chief Marketing Officer, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank said, “At our bank we believe that media is the most effective channel to communicate to the people and so we have made an agreement with mindshare for one year to help promote our business. This is the first time we have taken any company to be our media planner. Forty per cent of advertisement in India is done by Mindshare; hence, we have selected them.”

Mindshare did not want to comment on the deal.

According to the company website, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank has a history of 90 years. It has 251 branches and 261 ATMs across the country, with plans to increase the branch and ATM network by identifying rural / semi-urban centres where there is huge untapped potential.
