Amar Ujala enters Chandigarh to play gully cricket

Amar Ujala Publications along with Chandigarh police, under the aegis of UT Administration, has come up with a unique community-connect initiative – The Amar Ujala Chandigarh Police Gully Cricket League 2012.

In the process, Amar Ujala and Chandigarh Police have identified 12 causes that the enrolled teams will be playing to support such as Drugs, Chain Snatching, Eve Teasing, Save Girl Child, Noise Pollution, Dowry Abuse, etc.

Commenting on the initiative, Sunil Mutreja, Executive Director, Amar Ujala Publications said, “We are very excited to have gotten this opportunity. This proves that our continuous efforts of right reporting, building a product that is close to our readers and its credibility has finally paid us a rich dividend. We will do everything to make this initiative a grand one and draw maximum leverage for both, our readers and brand Amar Ujala.

The cricket tournament that stared on March 30 will be played till May 12, 2012.
